- Arbitrage
- Arbitrage is taking advantage of differing odds across bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Asian Handicap
- Asian Handicap is a spread that removes the draw option and often uses half- or quarter-goal lines.
- Bankroll
- Bankroll is the total amount of money you set aside for placing bets.
- Bookmaker
- A bookmaker is a company that sets odds and accepts bets on sporting events.
- Both Teams To Score
- Both Teams To Score (BTTS) is a bet on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- Cash out is a feature that lets you settle your bet before the event ends, usually for a reduced amount.
- Double Chance
- Double Chance lets you bet on two of the three possible match results, increasing your chance of winning.
- Draw No Bet
- Draw No Bet is a wager where you win if your team wins and get your stake back if the match ends in a draw.
- Edge
- Edge is the statistical advantage a bettor believes they have over the bookmaker's odds.
- Enhanced Odds
- Enhanced odds are special, higher odds offered for a specific event, usually for a limited time to attract bets.
- Goal Line
- Goal line is the total number of goals a bookmaker expects, similar to Over/Under, and you bet on whether the actual total will be higher or lower.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- Half-Time/Full-Time is a bet where you predict the score at half-time and the final result of the match.
- Hedge
- Hedge is placing a bet on the opposite outcome to lock in a profit or limit a loss.
- In-play Betting
- In-play betting lets you place bets on a match while it is still in progress.
- Juice
- Juice, also called vig, is the commission a bookmaker charges for accepting your bet.
- Kelly Criterion
- Kelly Criterion is a formula that calculates the optimal size of your stake based on the edge you believe you have.
- Line Movement
- Line movement describes how odds or spreads change over time as more bets are placed or new information appears.
- Moneyline
- Moneyline is a bet on which team will win the match, with odds reflecting each team's chance.
- Odds
- Odds represent how likely an outcome is and how much you can win relative to your stake.
- Over/Under
- Over/Under is a bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be higher or lower than a set figure.
- Parlay
- Parlay is a single bet that links multiple selections; you win only if every selection wins, and the payout grows.
- Point Spread
- Point spread is a handicap assigned to the favorite to make both teams equally attractive to bettors.
- ROI
- ROI, or return on investment, measures how much profit you generate relative to the total amount you have wagered.
- Stake
- Stake is the amount of money you risk on a single bet.
- Value Bet
- A value bet occurs when the odds offered are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving you an edge.
